Private Apartments

We can provide a self contained and fully furnished studio apartment, within a short distance of the school, and close to public transport (trains & bus), shops including supermarkets & 24 hour convenience stores, and recreational facilities. The distance to the school is usually a maximum of 20-25 minutes walk, or 10-15 minutes by bicycle. Much closer than anything in Tokyo, Nagoya, or Osaka.

Bicycle parking space is included. Car parking space can be arranged if we are notified 90 days in advance, but may require a separate fee if it is short notice.

We usually advise customers to participate in a homestay (with private room), but for personal reasons, or for those who need to work online with people in different time zones, an apartment provides flexibility and privacy. Each apartment is small but modern and comfortable (Student Interview). All have reverse-cycle air-conditioning for heating & cooling, wireless internet connectivity, bedding (futon, sheets & pillow) and furnishings.

Each apartment contains as an absolute minimum: Bathroom with unit shower/bath, western style toilet, washing machine, reverse-cycle air-conditioning/heating, wardrobe with 10 hangers, kitchen with basic cooking equipment & utensils including:

Either an IC heater or gas cooker, refrigerator with freezer, rice cooker, microwave oven, fry pan, saucepan, kettle, bowls, plates, cutlery, chopsticks, glasses, coffee cups, cutting knife, chopping board, Japanese style toaster oven.

The main room includes a TV, desk, chair, study lamp, bed, vacuum cleaner and bookshelf.

There will already be 2 rolls of toilet paper in the apartment when you arrive. The water is safe to drink without boiling, but a bottle of drinking water is provided as a service.

No need to search for a convenience store or supermarket on arrival, or frantic shopping on your second day, especially when jet-lagged.

Some apartments have an iron and ironing board, but not all do, so a travel iron is useful if you need to press clothes. Please ask in advance if you are planning to have business meetings or interviews etc. It is possible to borrow an ironing board from the school if needed.

Hopefully never needed, but as Japan is a seismically active country, we also provide a flashlight/torch, a fire extinguisher, safety gloves and a hard hat.
